New Schmid Works on View
COEUR D’ALENE• West Wind Fine Art Gallery features new paintings by Richard Schmid, Nancy Guzik, and Timothy R. Thies this month. Included in the presentation are five landscape and still-life paintings by Schmid, who is known for what he calls “The Grand Manner,” a synthesis of virtuosity and joy in art. Guzik paints florals and figurative works with the artistic intent of revealing the extraordinary elements underlying even the most ordinary of things. Thies, Schmid’s protégé, renders still lifes, figures, and landscapes that are inspired by nature’s brilliant light. The show runs May 3-18.
