OCCC Arts Festival Begun in 1978, and in its 30th year, Arts Festival Oklahoma is now a favorite Labor Day Event in Oklahoma, and one of the top arts and crafts shows in the Southwest. Eighty-nine percent of attendees surveyed in 2007 said they were very satisfied or satisfied with their experience. Over 22,000 people attended Arts Festival Oklahoma in 2007. The juried fine arts and crafts exhibition and market is renowned for the diversity of its showings, including pottery, sculpture, paintings, photography, glasswork, jewelry, woodwork, and other handmade items. In addition to showcasing Oklahoma arts and crafts, the festival involves artists from throughout the region: Arkansas, Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, California, Kansas, Colorado, and Missouri. The festival's live musical performances continues to draw large attendance. |
